RENAISSANCE is a project of the CONCERTO initiative co-funded by the European Commission under the 6th Framework Programme

The RENAISSANCE project is all about rebirth, building for better quality of life, about demonstrating that good environmental practice makes political, economic and social sense.

The acronym stands for ‘Renewable ENergy Acting In SuStainable And Novel Community Enterprises’. It aims to succeed by demonstrating practical solutions to local energy needs. The solutions are applied in highly innovative ways, with large and immediate potential for replication across the rest of Europe. People will be core to the project, by learning what the local community wants in terms of energy solutions that can be developed to meet these needs.
